No Skook Detention is hosting a community Town Hall about the Tremont Township DHS facility.

We're inviting our elected officials and our local EMS and fire companies.

The goals

  • Explain what we know about the facility (and what we don't know)
  • Summarize what leaders have been doing
  • Give residents an opportunity to share their concerns
  • Learn about the potential impacts on public safety
  • Learn how you can support EMS and fire companies

We won't be debating immigration policy. Not because it doesn't matter, but because our local leaders don't have control over it.

We'll focus on the issues facing the Tremont area and Schuylkill County as a whole. Our water, our taxes, our roads, and our emergency services are all going to be affected by the detention center.
